Wilson Thelimo Louis

Wilson Thelimo Louis is a poet and social activist born on July 3, 1986, in Anse Hainault, Grande Anse. He grew up in Ile-a-Vache and Les Cayes. He earned a master's degree in Public Service from the University of Arkansas Clinton School of Public Service, a Juris Doctor from the State University of Haiti, and an associate degree in communication/journalism.

 

After facing discrimination during his 2015 congressional run in Haiti, he sought refuge in the United States, where he continued his education and community service. Wilson has taken English classes at Stevens Academy and the Hyde Park Library in Boston and earned a nursing assistant certification at K&K in Brocton. He later pursued paralegal studies at Boston University and a filmmaking certificate from Community Supported Film (CSFilm).

 

Wilson also completed tax training at H&R Block, studied real estate at Freedom Trail Realty School, and received court interpretation training at Language Connection in Boston. He co-founded ITIAHaiti, a 501c3 organization focused on reviving Haitian culture, and owns THELIMO Services, working as a Haitian Creole editor, translator, notary public, and more.

 

His extensive volunteer work includes stints with Catholic Charities, the Haitian Red Cross, and UNICEF. He served as Executive Director of the Haiti Institute of Technical and Professional Training and is a founding member of the Haiti National Network of Young Volunteers. He also co-founded the political party "ITIYAyiti" and is dedicated to advocating human rights.

 

Additionally, Wilson works as a Career Advisor for MassHire in Massachusetts, helping individuals with their education and career choices. He is pursuing a Master of Law and PhD, reflecting his commitment to lifelong learning and community impact.
